While the previous two entries in the series were well-received, no one could’ve expected The Sands of Time to literally change the game. Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time really came out of left field.
Read our full Resident Evil 7 review Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time The Resident Evil series has since gone back to its horror roots with Resident Evil 7, but RE4 will always hold a special place in our hearts. RE4‘s environments and the non-linear setup offered tantalizing reasons to revisit RE4 after you reached the credits. With limited ammo available, you always had to make your shots count. Running down hordes of zombies, monsters, and impressive bosses always provided a thrill. While some longtime fans weren’t all too pleased with the turn to action-oriented gameplay and far fewer jump scares, you’d be hard-pressed to name a better third-person shooter from the PS2 era. You played as Leon Kennedy, a police officer tasked with rescuing the president’s daughter from a terrifying cult. One of the greatest Resident Evil games of all time, Resident Evil 4 created a new blueprint for the popular horror game genre.
We’ve also found the best PS1 games, PS3 games, and top PS4 games to play right now. Separated by genre, here are our picks for the best PS2 games of all time. There were hundreds of legitimately good games for PS2, which makes narrowing that list down to the absolute essentials a daunting task. The PS2’s unprecedented success also meant that new games came out in droves. It’s no surprise that the PS2 is the most successful video game console of all time, moving a whopping 158 million units worldwide. Two decades later, there are still plenty of PS2 games that you can purchase if you’re interested in enjoying a little bit of nostalgia or taking a break from the hype of the PS4 and PS5. However, if you’ve been gaming for a long time, you still remember what this retro console was like. The PlayStation 2 is somewhat of a forgotten console, especially since there have been two (and almost three) upgraded consoles since then. Not exactly sure why that causes it but that's what caused the crashes in the first place. IIRC the problem was this game had PS2 memory allocation which made Windows 8+ have frequent crashes. well other then the locked 30fps Not only that.
(it's why having more then 17 peds crashes the game) if you where to re install windows 10 32 bit (yes they still have 32bit windows) the game runs perfectly with no patches. but on 64bit systems this limit is ALOT higher, and the game simply wasn't designed for it. the game would automatically clear object when it was nearing full. R* never added a monitor to the object pool useage as when bully came out there was no reason, nearly everyones pc was 32 bit at the time. it can only hold a certain amount of objects in it's memory. This is the main reason bully crashes with no patch.
and the 5th patch is was completely disabled i think it's still in the 4th patch but doesn't work correctly.
yea they ether removed or messed up "object pool useage monitor" in the 4th and 5th patch for silent patch. It's kinda weird of them broke the game with their patch update.
